If you fancy test-driving a typical 'upscale' American shopping mall, Bellvue Square in Bellvue is smashing. Country Village in Bothell is a small yet perfectly formed, super-quaint 'village' complete with cool drinks and shade, playground, train ride and friendly ducks and chickens. You'll find Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument at Amboy, with divine mountain views and a clear sightline to the massive hole left behind after the volcano blew it's top so spectacularly in 1980. It last erupted in 2008.
