You’d be forgiven for expecting to see a few horse and carts, a saloon brawl and a couple of cowboys as you stroll through the Old Town of Temecula. With planked wooden sidewalks and rustic buildings, the architecture has been lovingly restored and maintained – even the newer building adhere to the very same ‘Old West’ style. Temecula’s Old Town is steeped in history, so much so the Temecula Valley Museum offers weekly walking tours where a local guide brings the town’s vibrant history to life. The Old Town also has a good selection of bars and restaurants as well as plenty of opportunities to pick up products made with locally grown lavender.
