LA's most eclectic shopping area
Head to Melrose Avenue and experience LA shopping at its best. From one-of-a-kind to mainstream, affordable to upscale and super glam to stylishly grungy, this is where some of LA’s most fashionable flock to master their look. Melrose Avenue spans from Santa Monica Boulevard all the way to Lucille Avenue in Silver Lake, however you’ll find the most famous area from Highland to Fairfax Avenue.
The Eastern end of Melrose became most well-known in the 80s as the go-to place for grunge culture. Now it’s a haven for all things vintage with world-famous second hand stores like Aardvark’s Odd Ark which has been an LA institution for over 20 years. The Western end of Melrose goes from funky to fancy with a whole host of high-end shops. Look out for Fred Segal (a favourite of LA socialite Paris Hilton) and Diane von Furstenburg. And if shopping isn’t your thing, Melrose is a great place for famous LA eateries like the original Johnny Rockets which serves classic all-American fare.
