Little England in the heart of California
Spanning 284m across the Colorado River is Lake Havasu’s famous London Bridge. For more than 140 years, this bridge sat proudly across the River Thames in London before it started to sink in 1968. It was then sold to the founder of Lake Havasu City, Robert P. McCulloch, who decided the bridge should be reconstructed in his own city. Since 1971, London Bridge has served as a backdrop to the old English village which has developed around it. Explore the Tudor style buildings and charming little shops which make you feel as though you’ve stepped back into medieval times.
