Description
Get up close to one of the ocean’s most majestic creatures on Kona’s famous Manta Ray Night Dive and Snorkel. With a wingspan of up to 16 feet, and nothing to bite or sting with, Manta Rays are totally harmless making them perfect for a large animal encounter.
The boat departs from Honokohau Marina and cruises along the Kona coast at sunset before reaching its destination. Staff guide snorkelers and certified divers into approximately 25 – 30 feet of water and then use lights to attract plankton which the Manta Rays feed on. Kona is home to nearly 200 Mantas and each one is identifiable due to its black and white markings, you might even get to meet ‘Vinny’, ‘Blaine’ or ‘Sugar Ray’.
