Garrapata State Park
An unknown jewel of the Big Sur
You’ll have to keep your eyes peeled if you want to find Garrapata State Park. It’s single, discreet sign post may take a while to spot, however it is that which keeps this little known gem relatively unspoiled. Once you access the park, you’re in for a treat with unparalleled hiking trails, a dramatic rocky coastline and a beautiful beach. Climb up to Soberanes Point where whales can be seen with the naked eye as they migrate during the winter. With natural beauty at every turn, be sure to take a few snaps, as once you leave, you’ll find it hard to believe you were ever there.
