Get to know your Travel Director and fellow travellers during an organised Welcome Reception at 6pm.
The second day starts with a visit to San Francisco’s famous Saturday morning Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market where you’ll join a local specialist for a food-tasting adventure. Enjoy lunch at your own leisure at Fisherman’s Wharf before stepping back in time to the era of hippies. Walk in the footsteps of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix with a guided tour of Haight-Ashbury. Learn about the city’s iconic streetcars at the Cable Car Museum, then head to Chinatown for a trip to the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory and a delicious, authentic Chinese meal in the evening.
Now you have an entire day to explore San Francisco at your own leisure. Head to the Ravenswood Winery where you’ll be able to create, taste and bottle your own wine in the private blending lab. In the evening you’ll join a hands-on cooking class at a famous culinary school. Here, you’ll prepare a gourmet four-course meal with your fellow travellers which you’ll enjoy with champagne and local wine afterwards.
