Uncover creativity and style
The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) is located within the campus of the University of Oregon. The museum was initially opened in 1933 and was built to house the Murray Warner Collection of Oriental Art, which consisted of over 3,700 pieces. The museum now features an impressive collection of historic and contemporary art from China, Japan, Korea, America and Europe.
The building itself, with its elaborate brickwork and decorative mouldings, is one of the most distinctive architectural structures in Oregon. Head to the JSMA on the first Saturday of the month for a free public tour or book a private tour in advance. Tours last for around 45 minutes.
