The man who captured Yosemite
Located in the heart of Yosemite Valley, the Ansel Adams Gallery is one of the finest places in the world to see the works of this incredible photographer. California born Ansel Adams is one of the 20th century’s most prestigious black and white landscape photographers and is particularly famous for his iconic shots of Yosemite National Park. Adams managed to capture the mammoth scale and sheer beauty of Yosemite with the click of a camera and this can be seen in his dramatic black and white works.
Not only can you view a fascinating collection of Ansel Adams’ photography, but the gallery also delivers outstanding vistas across the valley. The Gallery offers Camera Walks with tutorials so you can learn about basic exposure and composition on digital. Learn about Adams’ personal artistic evolution through Fine Print Tours and view a number of rotating exhibits. Intense photography workshops are also available from October to May.
